While the wpForo issue has been resolved, we are aware of an issue that was introduced with the recent security updates to CiviCRM where public tier membership signups are not working. Once the root cause has been determined and a fix is implemented, another announcement will be made. I can personally attest that at least paid membership renewals work fine.
