As of the evening of Wednesday December 11, everyone who registered to attend should have received an email with a personal QR code for check-in. If you didn't, let us know.

If you know you won't be able to attend the 2024 Tesla Owners Club of Maryland Holiday Party, please let us know, as we are at capacity now and a waitlist is immiment (if you get this email, you're registered).

Parking, like in years past, will be tight, so please carpool as much as possible. All nearby parking lots are commercial use and we were not able to secure permission to use any of them. The Best Buy garage is a place where you WILL get towed if you park there. The surface lot just north of Best Buy may be viable, especially after 6PM with the salon closes. To the south, there is a surface lot behind Haverty's, which closes at 7PM. Across Rockville Pike, there are other parking lots, but that also by definition requires walking across Rockville Pike a block north or south at the crosswalks. We will send out an email late Friday, early Saturday if we have a better answer, but don't assume parking will be available at the Tesla location.

Check-ins start at 5PM, at the table by the entrance. Once you are checked in, you will get a raffle ticket and wrist band so you can have the catered food.

Catering is sponsored by DC Auto Bra (who will have a table next to the sign-in one) and provided by Zest, arriving around 6PM. Caesar salad, Greek salad, Baked Ziti, Normandy Vegetable Lasagna, Cheese Tortellini (parmesan alfredo & scampi sauces), Primavera, cookies, and mini pastries will be available, plus various soft drinks and water.

Tesla will be offering test drives. Anyone taking one will get a discount code good for new memberships, upgrades, or renewals.

There will be raffle prizes near the end of the evening, for those that stick around.

If you have any questions, please respond to this email or post in the forum (requires being signed in to the website).

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Parking: like years past, parking will be limited. Do not even attempt to park in the Best Buy lot as you Will Be Towed. Carpooling is always recommended, even if it may be logistically challenging. If anyone wants to volunteer to shuttle people to and from a TBD parking location (lots of surface lot space south of the BMW dealership, not sure if it will be available), please ping us.

Catering will be provided by Zest with a variety of main dishes to choose from, including vegetarian options. DC Clear Auto Bra is graciously sponsoring the food.

We have received word from Tesla that they will make the top parking lot available to partygoers, with the usual caveats about parking at your own risk as they will not assume any liability and it’s a pretty busy place. We hope to have volunteers (if you want to be one, contact us please) helping to guide cars in. If you arrive before 6PM, that may be worth your first try. Otherwise, there is a surface lot just north of Best Buy, for the Black Rose Hair Salon, which closes at 6PM so that should have a good amount of available spaces too. To reiterate, we don’t have any agreement with any business to let you park your car there, other than what Tesla is providing, and that’s still park at your own risk. Carpooling is still very much a good idea.
