I did a PHP (scripting language that the website uses) upgrade this morning. Things seem to be working fine, but if you notice anything odd, please use this forum to post a question or use the About Us page to send us a message. Also, Sunday mornings are when I do system maintenance, so the site may be down or act weird then.
The site’s been having some stability issues lately, which are largely because a larger-than-our-small-VM-being-a-non-profit-server-can-handle server farm’s been DDOSing us with what is probably some sort of LLM crawler running on the Google Cloud Platform. I’ve reported this as abuse to the GCP folks (although it may be Gemini’s fault) and blocked that whole section of the Internet, so hopefully things will be a bit smoother now.
I plan on doing significant maintenance to the website on Sunday Dec 22 (OS updates, CiviCRM updates, PHP updates), probably starting mid to late morning. If the website is down, that's why, but you wouldn't be able to read this because the website is down if you tried then.
Made a change to an internal library (upgraded to recommended version). Had to disable some old and possibly unsupported system extensions, but so far things look like they're working OK. If you see any weird issues, let me know. Thanks.
