Have questions? You’re in the right place.
This page is a quick-reference resource for members and the broader Maryland and DC Tesla community. It covers common questions about the club, our events, membership, and general Tesla ownership topics that come up most often.
While we encourage members to reference official Tesla documentation for vehicle-specific guidance, this page is intended to share practical, community-driven information and help you better understand how our club works.
If something isn’t covered here or needs clarification, we welcome feedback and questions — this page evolves as our community grows.
There are a wide variety of interior accessories available. Good ones to consider installing are below. Note that Tesla Owners Club of Maryland does not offer any endorsement by mentioning these vendors. Other members have recommended them, your experiences may vary.
- A screen protector for the main screen. Getting one with anti-glare makes the screen much more readable in sunlight, reduces fingerprints, and the added layer of protection against accidental impact is useful as well. The Spigen and Innosure ones (links to Amazon for Model 3 & Y) have gotten positive reviews.
- For Model 3 and Model Y before the USB port moved into the glove compartment, a USB hub that lets you “hide” the USB storage for DashCam/Sentry Mode. The best one out there is from Jeda, although it’s also the most expensive. There is a cheap (both in price and quality) alternative from TapTes, but be warned that the TapTes device is not a true USB hub and may actually damage your car’s USB port if you plug in a USB-C device at the same time as a USB storage device in the compartment.
- All-weather floor mats. Tesla sells them, and Maxpider makes good ones too.
