It's show time! The weather looks perfect for our 2025 Holiday Light Show and we can't wait to see you there! Some key things to keep in mind:

  • WEATHER:
    • It's going to be cold. Please dress appropriately as you won't be able to be in your vehicle while we're doing the shows.
  • LOGISTICS and ARRIVAL;
    • Please show up starting at 4PM. We intend to put your vehicle in position as soon as you arrive, although there may be a wait in the staging area depending on how fast others can get positioned. Someone will guide you in.
    • Red 3's and Y's will be needed first to fill out our planned design.
    • Once you're in final position, head to the Registration Desk where we'll scan your QR code, hand out the Light Show USB, and the first 200 to arrive get a Goodie Bag!
    • There will be a quick training session on how to run a light show, but please, if this is your first time, read the FAQ on it. (If you've got a pre-2021 S or X, your vehicle cannot run the light show, but you are absolutely welcome to attend!)
    • We plan on starting the first light show at 6PM.
  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    • We will have limited snacks and hot beverages, which may not be enough to feed everyone, so please plan accordingly.
    • There will be an after-show meetup for anyone who can attend, details provided at the show.
    • Restrooms will be available in the stadium.

Less than one week to go! The weather curently looks perfect for next Saturday at the stadium, although of course it's going to be cold so please dress appropriately and remember you won't be able to be in your Teslas during the light shows. If the forecast changes in a way that would cause us to either cancel or postone, we will send out notifications by end of day Friday. Personally, I think a light snowfall would be awesome.

There will be one more planned email and forum post update with logistics Saturday morning. Someone will tell you how to proceed once you arrive at the stadium as well.

Thank you again to Detail Solutions for sponsoring our DJ!

For those that are planning on attending that Friday dinner, please note that we're approaching capacity of the room they're setting aside for us. Everyone is of course welcome to attend, but once we hit 30, not everyone will be able to be in that room, so any dinner arrangements (seating / bar wait time, wait staff, tabs, ...) would be handled separately.

Everyone,

First, THANK YOU! for all of the donations that have been coming in! This is well beyond what we had expected and will make it much easier to get refreshments. We're looking into having hot chocolate, cookies, maybe some appetizer type things, maybe even ordering some pizza for delivery. Options are being discussed, but those donations have opened up lots of choices.

Second, thanks to Detail Solutions for providing a gift basket full of care care products for the winner of a competition this year for Best Decorated Tesla!

Third, thanks to all of our other sponsors (many listed on the flyer) that are providing items for our Goodie Bags for those that attend (while supplies last; the earlier you arrive the better the chances).

More details are in the works, to be posted about when they're finalized.

Thanks to Mark Czajka for creating this flyer that we've been sharing. If you wish to print it out and post it somewhere, or share it with your networks, please do so!

He's been pretty busy, as he also created the attached really cool vehicle layout concept. Something we're certainly thinking about... as long as we get enough vehicles...

If you are interested in helping with checking vehicles in (scanning those QR codes you get in the mail) and helping with tech support for anyone having issues scheduling the light show, please let us know. We could use some help especially if we reach out goal of 250 vehicles.

Team Tesla Michigan found a good hotel for folks coming from out of town, the Hampton Inn in Bowie. Hope that’s the right one…

We’ve also secured a private-ish room at the Frisco Tap House in Gambrills. If you are planning on attending, please register as we have room for 30 people before getting creative.
