2025-11-01 Clarksville Frunk or Treat

Once again, Tesla Owners Club of Maryland partnered with Clarksville Commons to have a Frunk or Treat event alongside their Farmer’s Market. And while this was a bit unusual as it was early morning after Halloween, there were a lot of kids looking for tricks and/or treats.

The weather was a little windy but otherwise perfect for the nearly dozen EV owners and their EV’s to cheer up the horde of princesses, superheroes, and quite a few dinosaurs.

2025-10-09 Tesla Thursday Rockville Silver Branch Beerworks

Old-timers here will remember the original recurring meetings being held at the now gone True Respite Brewery in Rockville. Well, that location is now the Silver Branch Beerworks, and we had our first of probably many social events there on October 9th. Not only can you order drink and food directly from your table now (no outdoor seating was visible this time), they had a music bingo game going on which turned out to be whole lot of fun. Stay long enough and you’re all but guaranteed to get a free beer out of it too.

Pictures (and a few videos, but none with too much off-key sing-a-longs) are available in Google Photos here.

2025-08-16 Chesapeake Baysox Baseball Outing

Thanks to Mark Czajka for organizing this event, and thanks to the Baysox for giving us discounted tickets! Back when we did the 2024 Holiday Light Show and used the stadium parking lot, the only ask they had was for us to come out and see a game next year. Well, this satisfies that request, and we had a blast.

The pre-game activities were “Touch a Truck” related, with all sorts of trucks (emergency vehicles, construction vehicles, etc.) out for everyone to interact with. Kids really love honking horns, too, so the Teslas gathered there had to respond with our own horns and light shows.

You can view the photos and videos here.

2025-06-28 50 State Independence Day Light Show

The Tesla Owners Club of Maryland Represented in another nationwide light show provided by Simon Pollock of xlightshows.io on Saturday June 28, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds.

Special thanks to Mark Czajka for finding the location and handling all the logistics and Total Recon for sponsoring the event!

We didn’t quite hit our goal of number of vehicles participating but thanks to all of you out there, we pulled in a respectable 114 S3XYC, 2 Roadsters, 2 Old School S, 2 Rivians, and 5 non-EV spectators. And while this area is known for afternoon thunderstorms during this time of year, we had a bit of rain but it did stop before the show. Plus, we even had a fireworks show visible in the background during the last light show run!

Martin Hyson provided drone footage and this video. The official video from Simon Pollock is here.
