Thanks to Mark Czajka for organizing this event, and thanks to the Baysox for giving us discounted tickets! Back when we did the 2024 Holiday Light Show and used the stadium parking lot, the only ask they had was for us to come out and see a game next year. Well, this satisfies that request, and we had a blast.
The pre-game activities were “Touch a Truck” related, with all sorts of trucks (emergency vehicles, construction vehicles, etc.) out for everyone to interact with. Kids really love honking horns, too, so the Teslas gathered there had to respond with our own horns and light shows.
You can view the photos and videos here.
We shifted our monthly Central Maryland social meetup to a Thursday at Brews & Barrels for August.
Here is the proof.
The Tesla Owners Club of Maryland Represented in another nationwide light show provided by Simon Pollock of xlightshows.io on Saturday June 28, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds.
Special thanks to Mark Czajka for finding the location and handling all the logistics and Total Recon for sponsoring the event!
We didn’t quite hit our goal of number of vehicles participating but thanks to all of you out there, we pulled in a respectable 114 S3XYC, 2 Roadsters, 2 Old School S, 2 Rivians, and 5 non-EV spectators. And while this area is known for afternoon thunderstorms during this time of year, we had a bit of rain but it did stop before the show. Plus, we even had a fireworks show visible in the background during the last light show run!
Martin Hyson provided drone footage and this video. The official video from Simon Pollock is here.
Several Tesla Owners Club of Maryland Officers and members Represented Maryland at the annual summer meetup this year in Muskegon, MI June 20-21. TOCMD has become a Big Club, and many exciting things are sure to follow.
Pictures from this event are available here.
June’s Tesla Tuesday was in fact on a Tuesday at our regular location, Cushwa in Columbia.
You can view the pictures here (and on a personal note, you can get a glimpse of what Malort tastes like).
We had another Tesla meeting with our friends up north from the Tesla Owners Club of Pennsylvania, at the Guinness Brewery. It was good seeing everyone there, especially our TOCPA compadres.
Pictures of the event are available here.
Several Officers and Members represented the Tesla Owners Club of Maryland at the first annual Chattanooga Charge event held from Friday March 28 to Sunday March 30. We were invited to attend in no small part due to our record-setting 2024 Holiday Light Show, which put our Club on the map.
There were 173 check-ins with 159 vehicles with somewhere between 250 and 300 people from all over the nation.
No one reported any problems at all with the trip down, SuperCharging without incident. The theme of the event was Peace, Love, and Tesla; while the organizers did provide a police presence, there was never any concern over that.
Saturday ended with another epic light show, the YouTube video of which is available here. As a reminder for anyone wishing to participate in these light shows (and please do, they’re lots of fun!) … don’t expect them to end on schedule.
There are many photos that were taken and shared, but apparently there is no good way to display them any more since Google changed their Photos API which broke our plugins. That’s a bummer. You can view the original album here, though.
The Tesla Owners Club of Maryland Officers and Volunteers were happy to provide our members with the third annual Holiday Party, once again hosted by Tesla Rockville. Catering was paid for by DC Clear Auto Bra and provided by Zest Catering. Given all the positive feedback about the food, we’ll definitely keep them in mind for future events…
We hope you all had as good a time as we did. You can see all of the shared pictures and videos from the event below.
